Department of Industrial Promotion Develops Thai Creators into New-Generation Marketers

The Department of Industrial Promotion advances the capabilities of Thai creators under the "DIPROM FLEXi" policy by launching the "DIPROM New Creator" initiative, aiming to transform content creators into new-generation marketers.

On 9 Mar, reporters reported that the Department of Industrial Promotion (DIPROM), Ministry of Industry, is enhancing the potential of Thai creators under the "DIPROM FLEXi" policy by launching the "DIPROM New Creator" activity. This program aims to develop content creators beyond just entertainers into new-generation marketers who drive the economy with confidence and innovation amid global digital platform changes.

Mr. Dusit Anantarak, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Industrial Promotion, said that by 2026 the digital world will become increasingly complex. Competition will no longer focus on views or likes but on capturing attention and maintaining consumer trust. The "DIPROM New Creator" activity is designed as a bridge between young creativity and the stability of Thai SMEs, emphasizing creators as problem solvers addressing both brand and consumer needs. The program prepares creators to face three main digital-age challenges: 1. Sales confidence – Thailand’s e-commerce market has moved beyond price wars into an era where consumers are willing to pay more for assurance. Official store purchases are expected to rise by 55% to avoid counterfeit products and fake reviews. Creators must shift from reviewers to guarantors of trust, focusing on sincere content that stimulates confident, accurate buying decisions.

2. Highlighting values that AI cannot replicate – The overflow of quality content differing from AI causes consumer fatigue. This activity focuses on teaching creators to use AI only as an empowering tool while preserving human curiosity and emotions, creating content full of genuine value that truly attracts attention through quality.

3. Building specialized expert identities – Modern brands rely on micro-creators with niche expertise and loyal fan bases because they yield better results. The project emphasizes developing expert identities rather than producing directionless mainstream content.

Mr. Dusit added that the program gathers top national experts to impart future skills, such as Mr. Komsan Lee (Flash Express), who will help shift mindsets toward business ownership that addresses customer pain points timely, and Mr. Ham Thanakorn (Gen Z Expert), who will share creative marketing techniques to engage young people through shared experiences without pushy sales. The initiative also strengthens knowledge in Financial & Legal Literacy, including tax, copyright law, and AI ethics, along with Tech & Innovation skills for sustainable growth.

Additionally, the event was honored by distinguished individuals sharing their vision. Mr. Top Jirayus Sapsrisopa stated that in an age of information overload, the most valuable asset is attention, and the longest-lasting attention is trust. If Thai creators, who already have strong creative foundations, gain skills in Digital Finance and Business Logic, they can reach the global level. Meanwhile, Mr. Boom Yutthapoom (Boomteykata page) shared a practitioner's perspective that this program will help creators balance business survival with maintaining their true identity. He expressed confidence that DIPROM New Creator will be a starting point and a key driver in building a strong ecosystem of Thai creators, propelling Thailand's digital economy toward stable growth in 2026 and beyond.
