KMUTNB Hosts Leading Chinese Executives to Drive Collaboration on Electric Vehicles and Automation

KMUTNB welcomed a delegation of leading Chinese executives to visit and exchange knowledge, combining academic and industrial forces to drive the future of electric vehicles and automation systems.

On 4 April 2026 at King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB), representatives from key Chinese organizations — The World New Energy Vehicle Development Organization, China Society of Automotive Engineers (CSAE), and the China National Steering Committee of Teaching for Automobile Vocational Education (NSCTAVE) — visited to exchange knowledge and discuss academic collaboration and workforce development in the modern automotive industry.

Professor Dr. Theerawut Boonyasopon, Chairman of the University Council, along with Professor Dr. Saowanit Sukparungsee, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and university executives warmly welcomed the delegation amid a spirit of friendship and creative cooperation. The Chinese delegation included senior executives from both education and industry sectors, such as Mr. David Wang, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of FXB Co., LTD., Miss Catherine Wang, Sales Manager of FXB Co., LTD., and He Jiangfei from Chang’an Automobile Chongqing Anyi Automobile Service Technology Co., Ltd.'s Project Office for Promoting Industry-Education Integration. Representatives from the industry-education integration promotion project, a key driver of China's future automotive technology, were also present.

Following discussions, the delegation toured KMUTNB’s research centers and laboratories, highlighting the university’s strengths, including the KMUTNB Technology Park featuring the International Institute of Space Technology for Economic Development (INSTED), the Rail Technology and Innovation Center, and the Center for Automation System and Robotics. They also visited the Center of Excellence in Modern EV Engineering Technology under the College of Industrial Technology at KMUTNB.

This visit marks a significant milestone for KMUTNB in expanding its international collaboration network, especially in the fieldsof electric vehiclesandautomation systems,which are key industries in the modern global economy. It reflects the university’s role as a leader in technology and innovation, dedicated to producing high-quality professionals to sustainably support the country’s economic and industrial development.

Moreover, this collaboration not only enhances academic capabilities but also serves as an important platform for exchanging knowledge, technology, and experience internationally, paving the way for the rapid advancement of Thailand’s education system on the global stage.
