Social Security Office Opens Registration for Private Clinics to Provide Dental Services for Insured Persons

The Social Security Office is accepting applications from private clinics to participate in providing dental services under social security for insured persons, according to the new announcement by the Medical Committee.

On 9 Apr, Ms. Kanchana Phoolkaew, Secretary-General of the Social Security Office (SSO), stated that the SSO is inviting private clinics to join the medical service agreement for dental care for insured persons, as per the new Medical Committee announcement that expands dental benefits coverage. This will take effect from 1 May 2026 onward. Private clinics wishing to apply can fill out the application and submit documents via the website https://mms.sso.go.th starting today, from 06:00 to 22:00 daily, including holidays. For more information, clinics may contact the Social Security Office in their respective Bangkok area, province, or branch where the clinic is located.

The required application documents include: 1. For juristic persons, a copy of the company registration certificate issued within the last 6 months; for individuals, a copy of their ID card. 2. A copy of the license to operate a medical facility (Form S.P.7). If services are provided via a dental mobile unit, the license must specify this. 3. A copy of the payment receipt for the medical facility operation fee (Form S.P.12). 4. A copy of the permit to operate the medical facility (Form S.P.19). 5. Copies of dental practitioner licenses (issued by the Dental Council) for all dentists at the facility. 6. Information on the dental medical service fees charged by the facility.

Ms. Kanchana added that dental medical services for insured persons will cover key treatments including: 1. Fillings, scaling, tooth extraction, and impacted tooth surgery; 2. Partial and full removable dentures; and 3. Dental implant placement awaiting full dentures. The initiative aims to increase options for insured persons to access dental services and improve the oral health quality of life among the public.
