The Central Criminal Court for Corruption and Misconduct dismissed the case filed by a reserve senator against eight Election Commission members concerning delays and lack of progress in investigating vote-rigging allegations, ruling that the complainant lacked authority and that only the Attorney General has such authority.

At the Central Criminal Court for Corruption and Misconduct at 09:00 on 20 Apr 2026 GMT+7, the court ordered dismissal at the preliminary stage of the case filed by Reserve Senator Akkarawat Pongthanachalitkul against Election Commission Chairman Itthiporn Boonprakong, Secretary Sarawong Boonmee, and six other Election Commission members.
