"U.S. Embassy" reminds visa applicants "visa" for all specified categories to set the privacy settings of all their social media accounts to public.


20 Apr 2026 GMT+7The United States Embassy in Thailandposted a message via FacebookU.S. Embassy Bangkokstating, "Applicants for visa categories A-3, C-3 (for domestic employees), G-5, H1-B, H-3, H-4 (dependents of H-1B and H-3), F, M, J, K-1, K-2, K-3, Q, R-1, R-2, S, T, or U must set all their social media accounts' privacy settings to public.

This is required to verify information necessary to confirm identity and eligibility to travel to the United States under U.S. law. Failure to comply will delay your visa processing."
