GLO Continues Sarak San Sang Community Lottery Project into 8th Year

The Government Lottery Office (GLO) continues the 'Sarak San Sang' community lottery project into its 8th year, adopting the 'Tree of Value' concept focused on laying foundations for sustainable growth while incorporating AI to develop communities in all dimensions.

On 27 Apr, reporters reported that on 21 Apr, the Government Lottery Office (GLO), led by Director Col. Noon Sansanakom, together with senior executives, expert advisors in community development, community leaders, and representatives from 10 selected communities nationwide, launched the 8th-year 'Sarak San Sang' project at the Grand Richmond Hotel in Nonthaburi province.

Col. Noon revealed that the GLO has continuously implemented the 'Sarak San Sang' community project for eight years, building on tangible successes in promoting, elevating, creating value, developing occupations, and connecting local wisdom across generations to generate income and improve quality of life sustainably, benefiting both local and national economies.It will continue benefiting the country's economy.Participating communities have seen average annual income growth of 10–20%, with several evolving into recognized models of strength in society. This year, the project operates under the 'Tree of Value' concept, emphasizing strong foundational roots for communities alongside systematic development to ensure stable, long-term self-reliance. This approach aligns with sustainable development principles based on ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) and integrates AI technology as a key tool in marketing, communication, product innovation, and management to help communities overcome limitations andgenuinely enhance their capabilities..

The 8th-year 'Sarak San Sang' project includesa total of14 communities, comprising 10 new communities: 1. Tai Khuan Ban Na Thon Community, Nakhon Phanom 2. Ban Si Kai Homestay Group, Nong Khai 3. Saphan Hin Community, Phetchaburi 4. Ban Laem Mangrove Conservation Community Enterprise, Nakhon Si Thammarat 5. Ban Chong Fuen Community, Phatthalung 6. Wat Si Suphan Community, Chiang Mai 7. Tai Lue Muang Luang Nuea Community Tourism Enterprise, Chiang Mai 8. Rayong Mangrove Ecotourism Community Enterprise at Chedi Klang Nam and Rayong River, Rayong 9. Ban Pa Mao Ho Saew Community, Roi Et and 10. Tal Tonod Nod Na Le Palm Community Enterprise, Songkhla; and 4 model communities from years 1–7 to be further developed: 1. Ko Kret Tourism, Arts, Culture, Agriculture and Innovation Community Enterprise, Nonthaburi 2. Hug Kaset Khlong Lan Ban Hao Community Enterprise, Kamphaeng Phet 3. Agricultural Creative Community Enterprise Ban Pak Nun, Nakhon Si Thammarat and 4. Ban Hat Kai Toi Community Enterprise, Uttaradit.

Col. Noon added that participating communities will receive development support from the project advisory team in four areas:community development, marketing strategy,packaging development, and food product development, along with exhibitions and sales of community products, creation of E-Catalogs showcasing featured products/services of communities from years 1–8, development of key community signage and promotional materials, and publicity to raise community awareness and increase income. Over the course of the project from years 1–8, a total of 77 communities have been developed. This year, the GLO emphasizes applying foundational AI knowledge to provide advanced digital skills training to communities to improve market access efficiency and create effective content, enhancing communities' competitiveness and readiness to advance in line with the changing global landscape.This represents a new dimension of holistic community development..

Moreover, the GLO has enhanced value creation for communities by transferring AI knowledge for practical application in community development, thereby fosteringinnovation forstakeholders to benefit and generate additional value for the communities.

The GLO director added that the 'Sarak San Sang' community lottery project is a key mission reflecting the office's commitment to responsible operations and creating shared value for sustainable society through grassroots economic development, promoting career creation, increasing income, and preserving Thai local wisdom to enable communities to grow steadily.
