National Labor Day on 1 May 2026 to Open Over 48,000 Job Vacancies

The Ministry of Labor invites participation in the 2026 National Labor Day event which will open over 48,000 job vacancies nationwide and provide freelance vocational training to increase income opportunities.


On 28 April 2026, Mr. Julpan Amornwiwat, Minister of Labor, invited workers, insured persons, and the general public to join the 2026 National Labor Day event to be held on 1 May 2026 at Lan Khon Mueang, Bangkok City Hall. The event will be officially opened by Mr. Yotsanan Wongsawat, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation.

Mr. Julpan stated that the event is organized to celebrate this important day for workers, while providing public access to government services under the Ministry of Labor’s policy to improve workers’ quality of life, create jobs, generate income, and strengthen security for all worker groups. Activities include job recruitment through the “Thai Mee Jum” platform with over 48,000 job openings nationwide, free vaccination against four strains of influenza, basic health check-ups from Social Security network hospitals, and freelance vocational training to enhance income opportunities for workers and interested members of the public.

This year’s National Labor Day event is themed to reflect the strength of workers and serves as a platform for them to express their power and voice their needs to the government. Besides career and health activities, the event will feature booths with games and prize quizzes, live music performances by famous artists, free food and drinks, and many other lively activities throughout the day.

The Ministry of Labor invites workers, insured persons, and the general public to join the 2026 National Labor Day event to show support for workers, who are a vital force driving the country’s economy, and to enjoy free government services offered throughout the event.
