
Chulalongkorn University is preparing to open Siam Square to hold activities aimed at enhancing the quality of life for workers, offering free health check-ups, guidance on healthcare rights, and life skills counseling on 1 May, in observance of "National Labor Day."
It was reported that on 1 May 2026, Chulalongkorn University is uniting efforts to organize the second annual activity for Thai workers by opening Siam Square to provide free health check-ups and various consultations in honor of National Labor Day.
This year, the event has been elevated to a grander scale, better addressing comprehensive care for workers by transforming Siam Square into a Walking Street dedicated to workers, offering full access to health services covering physical health, mental health, work skills, and ways to reduce everyday living expenses.
The event gathers services from over 20 faculties and units, including basic health screenings such as diabetes, cholesterol, blood tests, oral health checks, consultations on medication and health products, aroma oil preparation, eye examinations with glasses fitting, as well as labor law advice, medical rights guidance, information on universal health coverage, eligibility checks and transfers, and vocational skill development. It also provides tips on preparing for hard work in hot weather and heatstroke prevention, along with relaxation activities, games, and performances throughout the day.
