Bangkok Schedules Large Waste Collection on 9-10 May 2026: Free Disposal with No Charges, Check Locations Near You

Bangkok Metropolitan Administration Responding to sustainable waste management policies, launching locations for the 2026 BMA Large Waste Disposal Event to provide free disposal services for large unwanted items such as sofas, mattresses, or broken electrical appliances on Saturday 9 May and Sunday 10 May 2026, covering 40 districts across the city. Use the nearest point for service, along witha recommended "Waste Buying" platform teaching how to sell waste from home for easy extra income. Residents should place large waste and unwanted items at designated collection points in front of their homes before 8:30 a.m. to await collection by staff between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.

Warning: Improper disposal obstructs Bangkok's drainage and is punishable by fines under the Cleanliness Act, starting at 2,000 baht..Dumping outside containers or designated points may result in fines up to 10,000 baht.
