On 11 May 2026 GMT+7, reporters noted that at 07:41, former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra walked out of Klong Prem Central Prison after being granted parole. He was required to wear an EM bracelet as a condition. Family members and former MPs awaited him at the prison entrance, while Red Shirt supporters shouted "We love Thaksin."

After exiting, Thaksin embraced his children before accepting flowers from the Red Shirt supporters who had gathered to encourage him.

Reports stated that at 08:00, Thaksin saluted the national flag at the flagpole in front of Klong Prem Central Prison, then proceeded to greet the Red Shirt supporters waiting for him near the prison gate.
