
KMutNB's Faculty of Applied Science celebrates its 38th anniversary by advancing education and launching a new classroom.“Science-SPHERE”and a chemical wastewater treatment learning center.
On 15 May, reporters reported that on 14 May, the Faculty of Applied Science at King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok (KMutNB) held its 38th anniversary celebration alongside the inauguration of a combined classroom.“Science-SPHERE”a classroom of the future, andthe “Chemical Wastewater Treatment Learning Center.”This underscored the faculty's vision to be a modern science education institution with environmental responsibility. The ceremony was chaired by Prof. Dr. Theerawut Boonyasopon, Chairman of the KMutNB University Council, and attended by Prof. Dr. Thanin Silpanaru, University President, Associate Prof. Dr. Pianphol Kamoljitprapa, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Science, along with administrators, faculty members, and staff at Building 72, KMutNB.
The event began with an annual merit-making ceremony for good fortune, followed by the official openings of two major projects that clearly reflect the faculty’s direction in education and environmental development. The first highlight was“Science-SPHERE”a new integrated classroom designed under the Active Learning concept, aiming to create a space for creative learning. It offers students opportunities to think, analyze, and develop innovations collaboratively in a modern environment that supports future skills in the digital era.
Meanwhile, another key project wasthe “Chemical Wastewater Treatment Learning Center,”developed as a resource for environmental management and waste treatment education and research. It aims to instill social and environmental responsibility awareness among youth and university personnel.
The launch of these two projects on the 38th anniversary marks a significant step for KMutNB’s Faculty of Applied Science in upgrading educational infrastructure to produce quality graduates prepared to meet future challenges in science, technology, and sustainable development.
