Train Hits 21-Year-Old Woman, Fatal Accident Spot Known for Multiple Incidents Warning Signals Confirmed

A train collided with a 21-year-old woman riding a motorcycle, resulting in her death. This location has experienced several previous accidents. Residents confirm that warning lights are installed. Initial simulation suggests the curve and the victim’s failure to anticipate a passing train as causes.

The train-motorcycle collision caused the death of a 21-year-old woman at a railway crossing inside Soi Lat Krabang 3 Intersection 4, near Wat Sangharaja community, at 00:30 on 24 May 2026, as previously reported.Read more: Tragic Midnight Incident – Freight Train Hits 21-Year-Old Woman Riding Motorcycle Crossing Tracks in Lat Krabang)

Today (24 May 2026), reporters visited the accident site and found it to be a railway crossing within the community featuring three tracks: two upper tracks and one lower track, the latter used by freight trains.

Uncle Tui, a local resident, said this spot has seen about four similar accidents. At the crossing, warning lights activate whenever a train passes. He was resting at home last night when he heard a loud crash, confirming the warning lights were functioning normally.

Dr. John, former Lat Krabang Council member, stated the site is inside Wat Sangharaja community in front of Wat Sangharaja School. There are three railway tracks, with the lower one used by freight trains that pass infrequently.

Based on initial reconstruction, it is believed the victim rode her motorcycle from the motorway side, stopping on the lower track. She may have assumed trains only run on the upper tracks. The curve at the crossing likely obstructed her view of the approaching train.

Dr. John added that when the motorcycle moved about 30–40 meters forward, the victim probably suddenly saw the train, became startled, and was unable to stop in time before being struck.

He also revealed that a similar incident occurred last year when a female firefighter from Bangkok’s Lat Krabang district was killed by a train. The cause was similar: the belief that no trains regularly run on the lower track.

It is confirmed that warning lights exist on both sides of the crossing. However, long-term solutions fall under the supervision of the Ministry of Transport and related agencies, who will consider further accident prevention measures.
