At THAIFEX - Anuga Asia 2026, besides major food and beverage businesses exhibiting products and innovations, the Department of Internal Trade (DTI) under the Ministry of Commerce also participates with the concept 'New Perspectives Driving Thai Agricultural Products' on the international stage. The “DTI Pavilion: DISCOVER THAI PREMIUM FRUIT & FINEST RICE” features the New Rice Economy – a variety of fine rice strains carefully cultivated with local identities, and Thailand: The Land of Tropical Fruits – durian, export-grade fruits, and unique community distilled spirits made from rice.
Mr. Witthayakorn Maneenet, Director-General of the Department of Internal Trade, said during a booth tour that this year the department participates by presenting over 30 selected community distilled spirit brands at the booth. This showcases how Thai distilled spirits can add value by using agricultural products such as rice, fruits, and other crops like sugarcane, which are then crafted by bartenders.
