SSO Opens Board Election Registration via Website and SSO Plus App 24/7

The Social Security Office (SSO) has opened registration for the board election via the website and SSO Plus app 24 hours a day, from 1 June to 15 July 2026, enhancing convenience for employers and insured persons.

The Social Security Office is preparing to open registration for employers and insured persons to vote for representatives on the Social Security Board starting 1 June. It encourages insured persons and employers to check their eligibility and prepare to register online to ensure equal access for all groups. The Election Commission has set the election day for Sunday, 27 September 2026.

Registration to vote for the Social Security Board will be open for employers and insured persons to sign up and select their preferred voting location from 1 June to 15 July 2026, with online service available 24 hours a day.

Insured persons can register via the SSO Plus application and the e-Self Service system on the Social Security Office website www.sso.go.th, while employers can register through the e-Service system on the same website.

Additionally, registration is available at the Bangkok area Social Security Office, provincial Social Security Offices, and branches nationwide from 1 to 30 June 2026 during official working hours. From 1 to 15 July 2026, services are open daily from 08:30 to 16:30, including public holidays.

The Social Security Office has arranged polling stations across all districts nationwide to facilitate easy access for insured persons and employers, ensuring smooth and efficient registration and voting processes.

The Social Security Office recommends that insured persons who have not yet registered for the e-Self Service system on www.sso.go.th register and verify their identity through the ThaiD application starting now. They can download the ThaiD app on iOS or Android, select “Self-registration,” and follow the verification steps. Once the ID card image appears on screen, registration is complete. Afterward, users can access e-Self Service for various SSO services, with identity verification via ThaiD required each time to ensure maximum personal data protection.

Insured persons who have not used the SSO Plus app can download it on iOS or Android to begin using it and verify their identity in a few steps: enter their ID number, scan their face for verification, enter a mobile number to receive an OTP code, and set a six-digit PIN for future access. Once logged in, they can immediately register to vote for the Social Security Board by clicking the “Register to Vote for the Social Security Board” banner on the SSO Plus app home screen.

Besides preparing the system for use, insured persons and employers are advised to check their voter eligibility to avoid missing this important voting opportunity. According to the Election Commission and Social Security Board announcements, eligible voters must be Thai nationals who have been registered employers or insured persons for at least six months before the election announcement month (April 2026), and must have contributed social security payments for at least three months within the six months prior to April 2026, ensuring continuous participation in the social security system.
