
Prepare to clear your home as Bangkok Metropolitan Administration launches an activity"Scheduled Large Trash Disposal"for the year 2026 to facilitate residents in discarding large unused items that cannot be disposed of with regular garbage, such as sofas, mattresses, tables, chairs, or broken electrical appliances, free of charge on Saturday and Sunday, June 6 and 7, 2026, covering 27 districts throughout Bangkok.

Residents are advised to sort large trash properly before disposal, such as furniture, electrical appliances, and sports equipment over 1 meter in size. Cut down large or heavy items into smaller pieces, separate and bundle small trash. Bring your ID card for verification (electricity or water bills can be used as alternatives).
1. Bring trash to the designated collection points.
2. Show proof of identity to confirm ownership.
3. Officials will collect and transport trash to disposal sites at no cost.
Additionally, if you have a large amount of bulky trash and live far from scheduled points, you can request service from the Sanitation and Public Parks Department of each district office for a fee as per government regulations. Warning: Illegal dumping disrupts Bangkok’s drainage system and is punishable under the Cleanliness Act with a fine of 2,000 baht.Ifwaste is dumped outside containers or unauthorized locations, the fine is 10,000 baht. Dumping into waterways is punishable under the Criminal Code, Section 380.
