"Poh Teck Tung Foundation" Supporting the future of Thai children, the Poh Teck Tung Foundation awarded primary school scholarships for 2026 to well-behaved youth lacking financial means.
On 17 June 2026, the Poh Teck Tung Foundation, led by Mr. Sak Kosaengruang, Vice Chairman, presided over the ceremony. Mr. Wichit Chinwongworakul, Vice Chairman; Ms. Sirikul Opaswong, Director and Secretary; Mr. Jarurat Kunattanon, Director and Treasurer; along with other board members, assistants, and executives participated in awarding scholarships to 1,500 students from grades 1 to 6, each receiving 2,000 baht, totaling 3,000,000 baht.
This initiative aims to help underprivileged youth have equal opportunities to continue their education without interruption, enabling them to grow and build their futures as they and their families hope. Students and representatives from educational institutions received the scholarships at the meeting room on the 2nd floor, Building 2, Poh Teck Tung Foundation, Phlapphla Chai, Bangkok.
Mr. Sak Kosaengruang, Vice Chairman, said the Poh Teck Tung project supports the future of Thai children by granting scholarships to needy youth, students, and university students. This is a key policy of the foundation, which has helped build the futures of Thai children for over 50 years.
For 2026, the Poh Teck Tung Foundation allocated over 20 million baht for scholarships and educational promotion funds. These are divided into several categories: 1. Support for primary school scholarships; 2. Continuing scholarships at all levels; 3. Scholarships for final academic years at all levels; 4. Scholarships for students in remote areas.
Over its more than 116-year history, the Poh Teck Tung Foundation has broadened its project scope widely. It not only alleviates suffering and promotes welfare for the underprivileged regardless of race, class, or religion, but also enhances quality of life in many ways, including supporting education. The foundation aims to be a comprehensive public charity assisting the population in all aspects, under its mission: "Saving lives, preserving lives, creating lives."
