DITP has joined forces with CEA to launch “Thailand Content Market 2026,” Thailand’s first international content trade show and business matching event, aimed at advancing the country as a regional content industry hub.
On 24 June 2026, the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Ministry of Commerce, together with the Creative Economy Agency (CEA) and private sector partners in the content industry, held a press conference to announce the launch of “Thailand Content Market 2026” (TCM2026). This is Thailand’s first international content trade show and business matching event, designed to create a key platform connecting Thai entrepreneurs, creators, investors, and buyers worldwide, while promoting Thailand as a regional content industry center.
Thailand Content Market 2026 is scheduled from 20 to 22 July 2026 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. The event has received strong participation from Thai and international businesses, with over 300 exhibitors confirmed across diverse content sectors. It features Country Pavilions from South Korea, China, Japan, ASEAN nations, and more than 300 international partners from over 30 countries worldwide. Business negotiations are expected to generate at least 2 billion baht in value.
Mr. Pornwich Silaon, Deputy Director-General of the Department of International Trade Promotion, said, “Today’s content industry is not just entertainment but a creative sector that generates immense economic value. Through creative capital, it expands into intellectual property, exports, job creation, and national income generation.
Thai content has increasingly attracted international markets in films, series, games, animation, characters, and new content forms, reflecting the capabilities of Thai entrepreneurs, creativity of Thai people, and the readiness of the industry to enter global markets.
DITP’s key mission is to support Thai entrepreneurs entering international markets via diverse trade promotion activities, including participating in international trade shows, trade delegations, business matching, and building networks with global partners.
Promoting Thailand’s content industry aligns with the Ministry of Commerce’s policy to drive the creative economy, encourage intellectual property use, and enhance Thai entrepreneurs’ competitiveness on the world stage by leveraging the potential and opportunities of Thailand’s content sector.
Thus, DITP initiated Thailand Content Market 2026 as a significant step to create a national-level platform gathering all content industry stakeholders—creators, producers, intellectual property owners, buyers, investors, and global partners—on one stage to facilitate tangible business connections, open new export opportunities, and elevate Thailand as a leading regional content industry hub.”
Dr. Chakrit Pitchyangkul, Director of the Creative Economy Agency, said, “The collaboration between DITP and CEA in organizing Thailand Content Market 2026 reflects our commitment to building a strong ecosystem for Thailand’s content industry in trade, investment, and enhancing Thai creators’ capabilities to compete internationally.
CEA has continuously elevated Thailand’s content industry through key projects such as CEA Content Lab and Content Project Market, which have evolved into Bangkok International Content Market 2026 (BICM2026) under Thailand Content Market 2026. This is Thailand’s first international content business and trade platform covering film, series, and animation sectors via project pitching, business matching, and networking at national and international levels.
Thailand possesses essential cultural, creative, and human resource assets. The goal is not only to produce quality works but to develop systems enabling those works to grow, create value, and become high-value intellectual property (High-Value IP) competitive globally. Thailand Content Market 2026 will be a key mechanism linking creators, entrepreneurs, investors, and markets domestically and abroad to foster investment, co-production, and economic value addition, supporting stable and sustainable growth of Thailand’s content industry.”
Thailand Content Market 2026 is designed as a comprehensive content marketplace covering the entire industry value chain from upstream to downstream, divided into 12 business categories: Film, TV & Series, GL/BL, Production, Game, Animation, Character, Book & E-Learning, Art Toy, Toy, Board Game, and Content Services.
Key activities include exhibition spaces, business matching, pitching sessions, networking events, and international expert knowledge exchanges, providing Thai entrepreneurs opportunities to showcase potential, build partnerships, and expand intellectual property into global markets.
Beyond business, Thailand Content Market 2026 offers public access to experience Thai content closely through showcases of creative works, content creator activities, industry trend presentations, and opportunities to meet and learn behind-the-scenes from Thai creators.
Visitors can also purchase a variety of Thai content products and services such as character merchandise, games, collectibles, creative designs, and licensed works, many debuting or exhibited for the first time at the event. This allows consumers to experience new offerings and support the growth of Thailand’s creative economy up close.
Thailand Content Market 2026 will be held from 20 to 22 July 2026 at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, Ground Floor, with free admission.
Thailand Content Market 2026 is not just a trade show but the foundation for building Thailand’s content industry commercial infrastructure and a key platform to propel the Thai creative economy onto the global stage.
