"ThaiBev" is elevating the grassroots economy by advancing the wisdom of OTOP products to the international level, while creating sustainable income for communities at the "OTOP Midyear 2026" event.
On 27 June 2026, the Community Development Department under the Ministry of Interior organized the "OTOP Midyear 2026" event under the concept "OTOP NEXT INSPIRATION: Creating Value for Wisdom Products at the Global Level." The objective is to open market opportunities for OTOP producers and entrepreneurs nationwide through showcasing and selling quality products based on local wisdom, while promoting the OTOP project and enhancing product development knowledge to meet consumer demands in Bangkok and its metropolitan area.
The event emphasizes collaboration across all sectors to showcase the potential of OTOP producers and entrepreneurs nationwide, creating market opportunities, enhancing entrepreneurs' capabilities, stimulating the grassroots economy, and strengthening communities sustainably. It also aims to continue, create, and develop Thai wisdom sustainably. The event runs from today until 28 June 2026 at Challenger Halls 1-3, IMPACT Muang Thong Thani.
The event features various activities, including a royal tribute exhibition honoring His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun, exhibition zones for partner agencies’ activities and product sales, and over 2,000 booths displaying and selling 3–5 star OTOP products.
Thai Beverage Public Company Limited (ThaiBev) and Rurak Rak Samakkhi Social Enterprise (Thailand) Co., Ltd., established to help generate income for communities nationwide and focus on developing the grassroots economy, participate by organizing exhibition booths for community product sales, divided into three zones:
1. Pavilion Zone for the grassroots economy features products from the Rurak Rak Samakkhi network and the Sarapadsansapsilp community. It showcases masterfully hand-painted Pattani batik fabric from Chabang Tikoh Subdistrict, Mueang District, Pattani Province, a historic area renowned for traditional handicrafts. The famous brand BATIK DE NARA presents exquisite designs on quality cotton fabric, featuring a royal pattern called "Queen’s Blossom" at the Pavilion Zone for the grassroots economy within the Sarapadsansapsilp community network.
This piece was inspired by a tribute to the graciousness of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, a shining light in preserving Thai textiles. Skilled artisans incorporated royal-bestowed flowers and favored plants into an intricately arranged composition using wax-resist and hand-painting techniques brushstroke by brushstroke, elevating Pattani batik fabric to a high-level handicraft imbued with historical significance and value.
2. Coffee Zone presents a new dimension for coffee lovers: Pha Hee Chiang Rai in collaboration with Satun farms with "Arabica x Natural Goat Milk" connecting northern and southern community ways of life. Coffee enthusiasts can enjoy a premium and unique experience as the Pha Hee community coffee shop, a famous coffee-growing area in Chiang Rai Province, introduces a creative beverage menu elevating cross-breeding pairings between northern highland produce and southern wisdom by blending 100% pure Arabica coffee beans with natural goat milk from Satun Province, targeting creative tourism and health-conscious consumers.
At the heart of this delicious experience is "Arabica coffee beans from the Pha Hee community" grown on high mountain terrain exposed to cold winds in Chiang Rai. The climate and fertile soil produce coffee beans with a rich, smooth taste, balanced fruity acidity, and a distinctive international aroma. When extracted into a strong espresso shot and mixed with "fresh pure goat milk from Satun Province" sourced from happy mother goats allowed to graze freely on natural grasses and herbs amid the Andaman coastal forest, resulting in highly pure milk with a creamy, smooth flavor that enhances the coffee’s taste without any unpleasant odor. It is also easily digestible and rich in nutritional value.
This union of premium ingredients from the country’s farthest regions not only offers a novel and harmonious taste experience to visitors at the Pha Hee coffee zone but also serves as a modern community business model that helps distribute income, drives the grassroots economy, and fosters sustainable growth and friendship among Thai farmers from north to south.
3. Pha Khao Ma Zone with 12 standard booths: The Pha Khao Ma booth zone invites visitors to learn, view, and shop all in one place. This year, under the Local Thai Handicraft Pha Khao Ma Project, visitors are invited to experience the charm of Thai woven fabrics up close through activities and special collections gathered at the event. Real weaving demonstrations by Paamai Amphan bring handlooms directly to the venue, providing learning sessions in rounds where interested visitors can closely observe the weaving process.
