A woman from Narathiwat lost a sapphire and diamond gold bracelet worth 300,000 baht in the Siam Square area and appeals for the person who took it to return it.
On 30 Jun 2026, CCTV footage from a department store in the Siam Square area was released, showing a woman walking past a Watsons store and accidentally dropping a sapphire and diamond gold bracelet weighing 3 baht and valued at nearly 300,000 baht in front of the store. Shortly after, a woman wearing a camouflage hat, black shirt, shorts, and holding a white umbrella with red and black patterns, who was following behind, bent down, picked up the bracelet, put it in her pants pocket, and then walked away.
The victim was later identified as Mrs. Kasama Uma from Narathiwat Province. She said she traveled from Narathiwat to sell the bracelet at MBK Center. On 28 Jun, she took the BTS Skytrain from her accommodation in Bangkok, arriving at Siam Station around 6:00 p.m., then walked into Siam Center, passing the Watsons store where she unknowingly dropped the bracelet. When she reached MBK Center, she realized the bracelet was missing and retraced her steps to look for it but could not find it.
She then reported the loss at Pathumwan Police Station on the same day at about 7:00 p.m. On 29 Jun 2026, she took the police report to request the CCTV footage capturing the moment she dropped the bracelet.
Regarding the case progress, the victim said police have accepted the report and are tracking the woman shown in the CCTV footage, but no further updates have been made. She appeals for understanding and urges police to quickly locate the woman, who is believed to be a foreigner.
