Bang Rak District Office conducted an on-site inspection following a steel frame collapse that injured a worker at a construction site on Charoenkrung 36.
At 12:30 PM on 3 July 2026, the Bang Rak District Office inspected the scene of a steel frame collapse at a construction site on Charoenkrung 36, Charoenkrung Road, which occurred at 12:18 PM. Firefighters and rescue personnel from Bang Rak Fire Station, along with Bang Rak District volunteers and Bang Rak Metropolitan Police Station officers, responded to the incident.
Initially, one male worker was injured. Emergency medical staff and relevant agencies provided assistance and have transported the injured worker to the hospital.
Investigation revealed the site was an 8-story commercial building under construction. A steel frame approximately 2.00×2.00×6.00 meters, used to store steel pipes for concrete piling, collapsed on the site ground after equipment from a mobile crane caused it to fall, resulting in the injury.
Authorities have cordoned off part of the area to facilitate operations and prevent the public from approaching potentially hazardous spots.
The next step involves issuing an administrative order to halt construction at the incident site until the contractor submits plans to correct and prevent recurrence of such incidents.
