The Phra Khanong Civil Court has issued an order allowing mother "Sai Scott" to withdraw her lawsuit against her son in the unfilial child case. At the same time, it has initiated a contempt of court inquiry against academic "T." for publishing case information despite prior warnings.
On 8 Jul 2026 GMT+7 at the Phra Khanong Civil Court on Sanphawut Road, the court held a hearing for case number P 101/2569 between plaintiff mother Jeeranuch Pirompakdee and defendant son Siranat Scott, also known as Sai Scott, regarding revocation of consent.
The Phra Khanong Civil Court reviewed the case and noted that the plaintiff filed a motion to withdraw the lawsuit to resolve the dispute with the defendant, who did not object. Therefore, the court ordered the withdrawal of the lawsuit, removed the case from the court docket, and refunded court fees as prescribed by law.
On the same day, the court considered a petition to punish Mr. T. for contempt of court due to publishing statements about this case on social media. These publications allegedly disclosed case information and could impact the parties and judicial process. The court had previously warned Mr. T. and ordered him not to share case details on social media, yet he persisted. The court deemed it appropriate to open an inquiry to determine whether Mr. T.'s actions constitute contempt of court and issued a summons for him to appear for questioning under legal procedures, ensuring all parties have a fair opportunity to present facts and evidence.
