A survivor recounted narrowly escaping death, saying they were settling their bill to leave when they saw flames flare up near the stage, then spread to the exit door. People inside the venue fled for their lives, but three friends who came together went missing.
On 13 Jul 2026 GMT+7, reporters reported that a fire at the Beer Garden on Lat Phrao near Lat Phrao Soi 1 caused 27 fatalities—9 men and 18 women. Most of the deceased were found in the restaurant's restroom area.
Rescue teams have removed all bodies from the venue. Injured individuals were gradually transported to hospitals for urgent treatment.
Forensic officials will identify all 27 victims before sending the bodies to the hospital. Meanwhile, the area has been opened for relatives to report missing persons at the command center near the Phahon Yothin BTS station.
Some survivors said they and four friends had come to the venue and were settling their bill at 23:48 when they saw flames ignite near the stage. The fire quickly spread to the front exit door. They barely had time to react as everyone rushed out. The survivor fell while running and was injured amid thick smoke and intense fire. They are still unable to locate three friends who came with them and have tried calling their phones without answer, uncertain if the phones remain at the scene.
Two other friends who arrived later said they had just finished getting ready to leave when they heard the news, which made their hearts race. They believe that if they had arrived earlier, they might not have survived.
At 03:15 GMT+7, rescue teams prepared to transport all bodies to the Police Hospital's forensic department. Those seeking relatives or belongings can contact the Phahon Yothin Police Station.
Further updates will be provided as the situation develops.
