
Following the incident of the "road collapse" on Chak Phet Road near Mega Plaza (Iron Bridge), repairs have now been completed and traffic is passing normally.
On 11 July 2026, it was reported that at around 13:50, a road collapse occurred on Chak Phet Road before the bridge over Mega Plaza (Iron Bridge). Police from Phra Ratchawang Station and related agencies inspected the site and facilitated traffic management.
Currently, authorities are conducting repairs, closing two lanes of traffic and leaving only one lane open. Traffic is still moving; please exercise caution and follow officers' traffic signals.
Most recently, the Facebook pageof the Bangkok Metropolitan Administrationposted an update stating, "Update 11 July 2026 at 14:20, Phra Ratchawang Police Station reports that repairs to the road collapse on Chak Phet Road, descending from Phra Pok Klao Bridge before Mega Plaza (Iron Bridge), have been completed. Traffic is now passing normally."
