Fire Hashtag Rises to Trending After Fire at Na Ladprao Brewery Kills 27, Injures 63

A fire at Na Ladprao Brewery near Ladprao Soi 1 caused 27 deaths and 63 injuries requiring hospital treatment, pushing the hashtag #fire to trend on social media.

On 13 Jul 2026 GMT+7, a fire broke out at the Na Ladprao Brewery bar near Ladprao Soi 1, resulting in 27 fatalities—9 men and 18 women. Most bodies were found near the bar's restroom, as previously reported.

After rescue personnel transported 25 bodies from the scene (with 2 more dying at the hospital) to the Police Hospital Forensics Department,

at 04:10 GMT+7 officials cordoned off the site, barring unauthorized access for safety due to lingering smoke odor throughout the area.

Additionally, authorities instructed unrelated persons to return home so cleanup could proceed and traffic lanes be restored by morning. The fire's cause remains under forensic investigation.

Meanwhile, on social media after the incident, the hashtag #firequickly trended. Some who had visited the bar shared photos and atmosphere from inside before the tragic event occurred.

Later, at 04:20 GMT+7, Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt summarized the event: The Na Ladprao Brewery fire at Ladprao Soi 1 was reported to the Sutthisan fire department, which arrived within about 5 minutes. Upon arrival, the fire was already spreading inside, with 27 fatalities and 63 hospitalized, 22 in critical condition, many suffering smoke inhalation and requiring ventilators.

So far, only six of the 27 deceased have been identified. Of the 63 injured, some have ID cards, while others remain unconscious. The priority is contacting relatives. He urged anyone with missing family or acquaintances from the incident to contact the Chatuchak District Assistant at 08-1734-1298. Coordination centers are set up at Phahonyothin MRT Station Exit 4 and the Police Hospital Forensics Department.

The Emergency Medical Institute will investigate the fire's origin, as it spread rapidly. The bar had legal permits for food service and live music. There are two fire exits, but inspections will check if anything blocked them during the fire. The district had inspected the premises once before, in April.

Inside, the ceiling was completely burned, but plastic chairs remained intact, suggesting fire itself was not the main cause but fast-moving smoke was. The fire exit is on the left; restrooms on the right. When the fire went out, many became disoriented. Emergency lighting will also be reviewed.

The Bangkok governor expressed condolences and encouragement. He advised concerned relatives to contact authorities to provide information.
