Mother Weeps Receiving Body of Sgt. Phisanu, Victim of Lat Phrao Brewery Fire, Touches Coffin Saying Tearfully, Welcome Home, My Son

The first body returned to the hometown as the mother tearfully received her son, Sgt. Phisanu Tangsopa, a victim of the Lat Phrao brewery fire, gently touching the coffin and tearfully saying, "Welcome home, my son."

At 17:40 on 13 Jul at the Institute of Forensic Medicine, Police General Hospital, the family of Sgt. Phisanu Tangsopa, 29, a military sergeant from the 9th Division in Kanchanaburi and a native of Sam Chuk District, Suphanburi, who was among the victims of the Lat Phrao brewery fire, came to receive his body to bring it home for funeral rites according to their religion in Krasiao Subdistrict, Sam Chuk District, Suphanburi. The atmosphere was filled with sorrow, and the family invited a monk to perform a spirit-calling ceremony before the officials transferred the body onto a vehicle to take it back to their hometown.

While officials were moving Sgt. Phisanu's body into the vehicle, his mother was crying continuously. She then sat inside the van carrying her son's body, gently stroking and lightly tapping the coffin while tearfully saying, "Welcome home, my son." This deeply moved those present at the scene.

When asked if she still had concerns or doubts about the incident, especially regarding safety measures, the mother of the deceased replied briefly, "Please let me arrange my son's funeral first," before leaving with her son's body.

Sgt. Phisanu's body will lie in state for funeral rites at Ban Lat Baimai, Krasiao Subdistrict, Sam Chuk District, Suphanburi.

The Poh Teck Tung Foundation facilitated transportation for the deceased's family. His wife and mother traveled together in the same van carrying Sgt. Phisanu's body back to Suphanburi to continue funeral rites according to their religion.
