On 14 July 2026 GMT+7, at Phahonyothin Police Station, Pol. Maj. Gen. Pallop Aermla, Deputy Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police Bureau, attended a meeting to review progress in the fire case at "Beer House at Ladprao." Investigators have already questioned 17 witnesses and plan to summon the "owner’s sister" to provide additional information related to the business, as the owner remains severely injured and is still being treated in the ICU. On the same day, Ms. Praparak, girlfriend of Mr. Panawat Thipmanee, the sound engineer at the beer house, came to Phahonyothin Police Station to retrieve the injured man’s belongings and car parked behind the venue. Ms. Praparak said her boyfriend had worked there for three years without social security, receiving only daily wages from the cashier. She said they were now in serious financial trouble, and since the incident, no owner or representative had contacted them about compensation. She also shared concerns about her boyfriend’s condition and treatment. He suffered burns covering 60% of his body, inhaled toxic smoke leading to kidney failure, and has severe abdominal wounds. He is currently in a sterile room, conscious but still on a ventilator. He is being treated under the Emergency Critical Patient program (UCEP), which will expire after 72 hours tomorrow (15 July), when he may be transferred back to his home province, Lopburi, for treatment under the universal health coverage scheme. The family fears that moving him while still critically ill could be life-threatening and they cannot afford any additional medical costs. They are preparing to discuss with the hospital the possibility of continuing treatment in Bangkok until his condition stabilizes. Ms. Praparak also expressed her distress over her boyfriend’s current state. He is wrapped in bandages all over his body, except for his feet, resembling a mummy. She said she recognized him and communicated with him to stay strong because they have two children and she is waiting for him. He could only nod in response and was unable to communicate otherwise. Initially, Social Security Office officials have spoken with the injured man’s girlfriend and advised her to contact the National Health Security Office (NHSO) hotline (1330) to coordinate treatment rights. If the patient cannot be safely transferred back to his home province, arrangements can be made to continue treatment at a hospital in Bangkok where the patient resides. This process requires certification from the employer. However, the procedure takes time, so they recommended she coordinate as soon as possible to ensure continuity of care for the patient.
