Government and Private Sectors Unite to Honor His Majesty the King

Thai Beverage unites government and private networks to host an event honoring His Majesty the King titled "A Decade of Development: Continuing, Preserving, and Advancing Under the Royal Grace" on the occasion of His Majesty's birthday on 28 July 2026 and the 10th anniversary of His reign.

The Thailand Supply Chain Network (TSCN), together with Thai Beverage Public Company Limited (ThaiBev) and partner networks, jointly organized the event "A Decade of Development: Continuing, Preserving, and Advancing Under the Royal Grace" to honor His Majesty the King on the occasion of His Majesty's birthday on 28 July 2026 and the 10th anniversary of His reign.

They also declared their commitment to advancing projects inspired by His Majesty the King's royal command to "continue, preserve, and advance, and rule the land with righteousness for the benefit and happiness of the subjects forever." This serves as a guiding principle for national development through integrating knowledge, innovation, and participation from all sectors, aiming to balance economic, social, and environmental aspects, elevate citizens' quality of life, and strengthen the country sustainably.

The event was held at Plenary Hall, Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, amidst unity and loyalty, with over 600 participants from various organizations including the Office of the Special Committee for Coordination of Royal Projects (OSCRP), Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Interior, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, Fiscal Policy Office, the Joint Private Sector Committee (JPSC), Thai Chamber of Commerce, Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), Thai Bankers' Association, as well as community networks and youth groups from diverse fields such as Homegrown Youth Cultural Preservation, Win Win WAR Thailand, OTOP Junior, and young athletes from various sports.

They collectively pledged to pass on the ideology of "continuing, preserving, and advancing" to children and youth, following the royal developmental approach derived from the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s royal initiatives into the reign of His Majesty the King, for the well-being of the people and the sustainable security of the nation.

Mr. Thapana Sirivadhanabhakdi, co-founder of the Thailand Supply Chain Network (TSCN) and CEO of Thai Beverage Public Company Limited, stated, "The main objective of this event is to honor His Majesty the King and promote the commemorative projects in which all sectors have embraced the royal command to continue, preserve, and advance as a framework to develop initiatives that create positive impact locally, benefiting communities, society, and the nation. Today marks the beginning of elevating each agency's projects into a national collaboration to continue valuable legacies, conserve resources and wisdom, and advance economic development and improve the quality of life sustainably."

To strengthen and secure communities, the development of the grassroots economy is driven by the operation of Ru Rak Samakki Social Enterprise (Thailand) Limited, which works nationally and in every province. This extends to the "With Loyalty and Devotion Project" benefiting communities and enhancing happiness by establishing Strong and Sufficient Community Companies (Thailand) Limited and Sufficient District Companies nationwide to develop into social enterprises at the district level.

Examples of projects developed and driven by all sectors following the King's philosophy aim to build national strength sustainably.

• The YouTH Thailand project unites Thai youth networks to help drive sustainable national progress by expanding learning opportunities into practical action, unlocking Thai youth potential for growth nationally and globally. It serves as a platform and hub for Thai youth power, quality youth data, and opportunities, while building diverse knowledge and skills to prepare youth to understand the world and develop skills through hands-on cooperation with government, private sector, education, civil society, both domestically and internationally.
• The "Show Phum" project under the "With Loyalty and Devotion Project" seeks to identify and develop community developers at the district level nationwide to be key drivers in strengthening and sustaining grassroots economic development. It applies the sufficiency economy philosophy as a guideline, focusing on youth development to serve as the center of community advancement.
• The "Homegrown Youth Cultural Preservation" project aims to instill pride in arts, culture, traditions, and local identity in the new generation of youth to become key forces in conserving and sustaining Thai heritage. It emphasizes community knowledge and trains youth to be good hosts and cultural preservers who can share community stories, especially during events like the "Water Festival: Way of Water...Way of Thai" and the "River Festival: Thai Cultural Streams."
• The "Varied Arts and Crafts" project operates as a social enterprise serving as a central hub to open opportunities and expand distribution channels for products based on local wisdom. It incorporates art and creative design to enhance product value to premium levels and boost market competitiveness. This is a key mechanism to create jobs, generate income, and strengthen the grassroots economy sustainably.
• The Win Win WAR Thailand and Win Win WAR OTOP Junior projects nurture social entrepreneurs who use business mechanisms to address social and environmental issues sustainably. These are more than TV shows or business competitions; they are platforms driving the social enterprise ecosystem in Thailand.
• The "Local Pa Khao Ma, Thai Handicrafts" project, under the grassroots economic development and public-private partnership working group in collaboration with the Department of Community Development, Ministry of Interior, has been ongoing since 2016. It aims to upgrade Thai handwoven Pa Khao Ma through four dimensions: innovation, processing, knowledge exchange, and intellectual property protection to create sustainable income for communities. The project has generated over 311 million baht in community income, benefiting 1,561 households, while building a network of new-generation "Pa Khao Ma heirs" and elevating 15 entrepreneurs, extending into community-based tourism development.
• The Sustainability Expo, the largest sustainability fair in ASEAN, was first held in 2020 to provide opportunities for people of all ages to participate in driving sustainable development across economic, social, and environmental dimensions. This year marks its 7th edition, under the main concept "Sufficiency for Sustainability," guided by His Majesty the King's royal command to "continue, preserve, and advance, and rule the land with righteousness for the benefit and happiness of the subjects forever" and the sufficiency economy philosophy inspired by the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej, aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

These projects exemplify the success of applying the royal will over the past decade, creating positive social impact at the local level, leading to significant national cooperation and driving sustainable development in the coming decade.

Mr. Warawut Silpa-archa, Minister of Industry, expressed admiration for all sectors, especially the private sector and youth, recognizing the importance of their participation today. The government is promoting policies encouraging the private sector to acknowledge the importance and implement the sufficiency economy standards for industry (TIS 9999). These standards help industries and supply chain organizations understand the sufficiency economy philosophy and align their thinking, allowing organizations to define their own practices, promoting balanced outcomes and development across economic, social, and environmental areas.

He added that efforts are underway to encourage applying TIS 9999 by integrating its approach with business models to achieve balanced development in economic, social, and environmental areas. This aims to raise awareness in all sectors to adopt the sufficiency economy philosophy and the principles of royal initiatives as guidelines for both business operations and daily life, enabling adaptation to changes in the era of globalization and preparing for future challenges in a balanced, sufficient, and sustainable manner.

Furthermore, the policy to develop TIS 9999 began in 2013 and continues to the present, with plans to release Version 2 within this year. This aims to push the industry to recognize the importance of adopting the sufficiency economy philosophy to develop and strengthen Thailand’s industrial sector sustainably.

Mr. Assisit Sampantrat, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, expressed happiness to see new generations of children and youth joining as an important part of the country's future to build strong and sustainable communities. He was delighted to see all sectors unite today to embrace His Majesty's royal command, extending and integrating work between government and private sectors. Over the past decade, the Ministry of Interior has collaborated with the private sector to drive grassroots economic growth steadily by harnessing community potential and strength as the main driving force.

They coordinate cooperation with the private sector and social enterprises through the "Ru Rak Samakki" network across all provinces, which plays a key role in implementing policies locally. This helps concretely build on local wisdom and innovation capital, leading to job creation, income generation, reducing inequality, and strengthening communities sustainably. This collaborative power also prepares communities to welcome many young people returning to their hometowns to become "new generation entrepreneurs" who dedicate their efforts to innovating, developing products, and expanding new markets for their communities. This is crucial for raising citizens' quality of life, strengthening communities, and creating livable cities sustainably, based on the sufficiency economy philosophy.

The event "A Decade of Development: Continuing, Preserving, and Advancing Under the Royal Grace" reflects a strong commitment to implementing the royal will of "continue, preserve, and advance" and the sufficiency economy philosophy into action to drive concrete national development. It serves as a vital foundation to enhance the industrial sector's capabilities alongside strengthening communities, society, and the nation. It invites all sectors and Thai people to continue, preserve, and advance together to benefit the country under the enduring royal grace.
