At 16:00 on 3 Aug 2026, police from Saimai Police Station received a report that a male and female student had fallen from the sixth floor of a school building, sustaining serious injuries. The incident occurred within a school in the Saimai district of Bangkok. Upon receiving the report, Police Lieutenant Colonel Purittha Pangsanga, Deputy Inspector (Investigation) of Saimai Police Station, coordinated with Police Colonel Nathatphong Kiram, Chief of Saimai Police Station, medical teams, rescue units from Bhumibol Adulyadej Hospital and CGH Saimai Hospital, civil defense volunteers from Saimai district, and Poh Teck Tung Foundation volunteers to investigate.
At the scene on the ground in front of the six-story school building, two injured individuals were found sitting and lying on their backs, breathing weakly. They were later identified as 'Boy' (alias), aged 15, and 'Puk' (alias), aged 16. Both were Grade 10 classmates wearing school uniforms. Medical personnel immediately performed CPR and urgently transported Boy to CGH Saimai Hospital and Puk to Bhumibol Adulyadej Hospital.
Upon inspecting the balcony outside the sixth-floor classroom, the scene of the incident, officials found the male and female students' shoes neatly placed side by side. Photos and records were taken as evidence.
Preliminary witness statements indicated that the two were close friends. The incident occurred after school hours when both were walking together on the sixth-floor balcony. They removed their shoes and placed them neatly side by side before falling from the sixth floor. Their bodies struck a large tree branch and the building's canopy before landing on the ground below, sustaining serious injuries.
Authorities initially suspect the cause may be personal issues or academic stress. Meanwhile, investigators from Saimai Police Station are coordinating to summon the homeroom teacher, instructors, close friends, and guardians of both students for detailed questioning to determine the true cause and motive behind this incident.
