Awards included plaques recognizing the Net Zero City Pathway for 33 provinces and the Government Complex Commemorating His Majesty the King’s 80th Birthday Anniversary at Chaeng Watthana 1 area, as well as Net Zero Pathway for 15 municipalities. Mr. Nakorn Trakaviraphat, Director of the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization), stated that the organization recognizes the importance of greenhouse gas management and has planned future actions to support Thailand's goal to achieve Net Zero GHG emissions by 2050. It promotes projects to reduce emissions across various sectors, contributing to nationwide greenhouse gas reduction. This foundation supports improving quality of life in an environmentally friendly way, ultimately leading to a sustainable low-carbon society.
The organization emphasizes the need for local areas, provinces, and local administrative organizations to report greenhouse gas emissions and develop reduction plans. It supports these entities in declaring their commitment to Net Zero emissions and creating Net Zero Pathways at the local level. This approach improves environmental quality of life, fosters sustainable urban development, and promotes green economies within communities. The organization has developed projects to reduce emissions at the provincial level nationwide, covering 15 provinces in the North, 9 in the Northeast, 17 in the Central region, 8 in the South, the Government Complex Commemorating His Majesty the King’s 80th Birthday Anniversary at Chaeng Watthana 1, and projects supporting carbon footprint measurement for local administrative organizations.

Especially, eco-tourism and low-carbon tourism can sustainably add value to localities. Therefore, the organization actively promotes low-carbon tourism nationwide through the Green Awareness Digital Campaign: “Travel Thailand, Leave No Carbon” (Thailand Carbon-Free Tourism) 2026 to raise awareness, encourage behavior change in tourism, and foster low-carbon tourism trends and environmental care. This is done via social media channels and by publicizing the organization's services to help various sectors access information on low-carbon societies, low-carbon tourism, greenhouse gas management, and to broadly communicate greenhouse gas reduction efforts.
