The THAIRATH FORUM 2026 has started under the theme "Thailand in the New Global Order" with a leadership platform seeking opportunities to transform Thailand's economic strategy.
On 31 August 2026, reporters reported that Thairath Group held its major annual dinner talk, "THAIRATH FORUM 2026," under the theme "Thailand in the New Global Order" at Eastin Grand Hotel Phayathai to explore ways to build bargaining power and enhance Thailand's competitiveness through four national and business leaders.
Inside the THAIRATH FORUM 2026 event, the atmosphere was lively as honored guests steadily arrived, including R. Prajin Eamlumnoe, founder of Grand Prix International Public Company Limited; Ms. Nopparat Kulhirun, a Thai businesswoman known as "Madam Tank"; Mr. Aloke Lohia, CEO of Indorama Ventures Public Company Limited; Mr. Prasit Boondoungprasert, CEO of Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Limited; and Prof. (Special) Dr. Surakiart Sathirathai, President of Chulalongkorn University Council and former Deputy Prime Minister.
Also attending were politicians and notable figures such as Ms. Sirikanya Tonsakul, party-list MP and Deputy Leader of the People's Party; Mr. Weerayut Kanchuchat, party-list MP and Deputy Leader of the People's Party; Mr. Vidhai Ratanakorn, Governor of the Bank of Thailand; Mr. Maris Sngiemphong, former Minister of Foreign Affairs; Ms. Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul, former Minister of Tourism and Sports; Mr. Pratthana Leelapanang, CEO of Advanced Info Service (AIS); and Mr. Somchai Lertsutiwong, Chairman of PTT Oil and Retail Business Public Company Limited.
The seminar was divided into two sessions. The first opened with a speech by Prof. (Special) Dr. Surakiart Sathirathai, President of Chulalongkorn University Council and former Deputy Prime Minister, titled "Thailand’s Blueprint for the New Global Order: Direction and Survival of Thailand Under the New World Order," sharing perspectives on the new global landscape amid trade wars, trade barriers, and competition in energy and technology.
The second session was a panel talk titled "The New Global Order: Impact and Opportunities Amongst Superpowers’ Struggle," featuring three top CEOs: Mr. Arthid Nanthawithaya, CEO of SCBX Public Company Limited; Mr. Prasit Boondoungprasert, CEO of Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Limited; and Mr. Aloke Lohia, CEO of Indorama Ventures Public Company Limited.
