CP Extra and Tops Assure Adequate Stock Amid Flooding, Accelerate Restocking to Meet Demand

"CP Extra and Tops" are fully committed to supporting customers amid flooding and heavy rains, assuring sufficient stock, accelerating restocking, and maintaining continuous deliveries to meet consumer demand in affected areas.

On 27 Sep 2026 GMT+7, persistent flooding in various areas of Bangkok and its vicinity has severely hindered transportation and access. Many restaurants have temporarily closed, leading residents to rush to open malls and convenience stores to stockpile food in case of emergencies.

CP Extra reaffirmed the readiness of Makro and Lotus stores amidst the rain and flooding situation. Branches not affected remain open as usual, with ongoing restocking to meet local community needs.

Both Makro and Lotus have prepared essential daily consumer goods—fresh food, dry food, drinking water, household items, and other necessities—and are managing stock and distribution continuously to ensure adequate supplies in all areas.

They emphasized continued normal operations with close monitoring of the situation to manage stock and services seamlessly, providing confidence to residents across all affected areas.

Meanwhile, Tops, part of Central Retail, is closely managing the flood situation in Bangkok, implementing measures for safety, service, and supply chain management. The company prioritizes the safety of customers, staff, and all workers while ensuring sufficient essential goods for public demand. Some branches affected have temporarily closed or adjusted operating hours in line with shopping center schedules. The company is ready to reopen stores promptly once conditions permit.

The temporarily closed branches include one Tops branch at Fashion Island; six Tops Daily branches at Ratchada 52, Chalerm Phrakiat 30 Yaek 14, Romklao 27, Nilubon Soi 10, Kheha Khlong Chan, and Khlong Tamru; and three Tops Care branches at Sukhaphiban 3, Lat Krabang, and Hua Mak. Customers can follow branch status updates via the official Facebook page: Tops Thailand (information as of 26 Sep 18:40 GMT+7).

Regarding inventory management, Tops confirmed it has ample stock in warehouses and distribution centers, especially essential items such as drinking water, dry food, ready-to-eat meals, and daily necessities. Stock is continuously replenished at stores to meet customer demand in each area. Additionally, the logistics and delivery systems operate normally, with "special additional delivery rounds" to speed up restocking, particularly for ready meals and drinking water.

However, in some areas with high water levels, traffic congestion, or travel risks, delivery delays may occur intermittently. Tops prioritizes the safety of delivery staff and workers, continuously assessing conditions and adjusting delivery plans accordingly, while maximizing efforts to manage and distribute goods so customers can access essential products uninterrupted.

To systematically manage the situation, Tops has established a 24-hour War Room to monitor flooding in real time, covering safety assessments for customers and staff, installation of water barriers, preparation of drainage systems at branches, and supply chain management with partners and suppliers to reserve and distribute sufficient essential goods to all stores.

Tops extends its concern to customers and residents affected by the flooding and pledges ongoing support through maintaining essential product availability and continuous service. The company will closely adjust operations according to evolving conditions until the situation improves, ensuring everyone has reliable access to daily necessities.
