Summary of flooded areas in Bangkok today (27 Sep 2026) Latest update: Many locations still have high water levels, several roads remain impassable, and residents are being evacuated to shelters.

Continuous heavy rain has caused flooding in many parts of Bangkok and its metropolitan area, leading to water accumulation awaiting drainage, disrupting travel routes and making access difficult.

On 27 Sep 2026, Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok, said the situation is improving because a low-pressure area over central Bangkok caused heavy rain. In the past 2-3 days, rainfall totaled 320 millimeters, comparable to Hat Yai district in Songkhla province. There is 200-300 million cubic meters of water that must be drained urgently, causing canals to fill and overflow onto roads.

When asked if any areas require special monitoring, Chadchart said all flooded spots still need attention, especially areas near canals such as Khlong Saen Saep in Bang Kapi, Khlong Prem Prachakorn in Lak Si, Khlong Prawet in Lat Krabang, and Suan Luang. These areas require close observation.

Meanwhile, "Khlong Chan Flats" Water levels are high, and residents urgently request assistance. Many have evacuated, but elderly and bedridden patients remain inside without electricity or food.

• Lat Krabang district

At 08:00, many areas in Lat Krabang remain heavily flooded, especially along Rom Klao Housing Road from in front of Pak Bueng Temple to Klong Otan Bridge, Khlong Song Ton Nun subdistrict. Vehicles cannot travel through as water levels are high. Rom Klao Police Station has advised the public to avoid these routes.

At 12:30, authorities evacuated 20 residents from Rom Klao Housing Flats, Building 27, due to high floodwaters.

On Lat Krabang Road near Lat Krabang Police Station, water remains deep, forcing vehicles to slow down and making travel difficult.

• Huai Khwang district

At 09:30, flood conditions in Huai Khwang have improved, decreasing from 16 to 3 affected points, with water levels dropping at all locations.

1. Phetchaburi Road at Phetchaburi-Asok intersection (15-20 cm water depth).

2. Phetchaburi Road in front of Suan Somdet Saranyarat Maneerom Park with 50-60 cm water depth.

3. From Rama 9 Soi 11 to Rama 9-Pradit Manutham intersection, water depth about 10-15 cm.

Pol. Col. of Makkasan Police Station and traffic police inspected flood areas on Phetchaburi Road and assisted affected residents, noting water levels remain high.

Phetchaburi Road, inbound and outbound, has water depths of 40-50 cm from Thonglor intersection to Klong Tan overpass. Small vehicles are advised to avoid this route. Approximately 100 vehicles are stranded along this flooded stretch.

• Chatuchak district

At 09:00, Phahonyothin Road near Sripatum University in Chatuchak district has high water accumulation. Small vehicles are advised to avoid the route for safety. Authorities urge travelers to exercise caution and avoid the area until conditions improve.

On Ratchadaphisek Road (in front of the Criminal Court), both directions have light rain but no flooding. Traffic flows normally.

At 10:00, municipal officers worked on Phahonyothin Road near Kaset intersection to manage traffic and ensure public safety. Sidewalk flooding is about 30 cm deep. Traffic can still move but requires caution.

• Lak Si district

At 07:40, the Lak Si district office reported that roads near the National Telecom Station remain deeply flooded. Small vehicles are still advised not to pass. Many residential areas remain heavily flooded.
