At 6 a.m. on 28 Sep 2026, the sky began to clear after moderate rain (46 mm) fell overnight. Currently, there are no large rain clouds in nearby provinces moving into Bangkok. Rain showers are becoming more spaced out and increasingly distant.
Water levels in main canals (Saen Saep, Prawet Burirom, and Prem Prachakorn Canals) remain high because they receive water from smaller canals.
Bangkok is working at full effort daily, pumping water into the Chao Phraya River continuously to reduce water levels. This 24-hour operation allows water in smaller canals and branches to flow into main canals, which are seeing reduced levels, enabling smaller canals to drain as well.
Flooding on road surfaces is gradually decreasing, provided no additional rain falls.
