The flood situation at Khlong Chan Flats remains severe, with water levels still exceeding 1 meter, reaching chest height. Metropolitan Police officers and related agencies conducted motorboat surveys to monitor the flooding and oversee safety measures.
At 14:00 on 29 Sep, Police Lieutenant General Siam Boonsom, Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police Bureau, Police Major General Kampanat Arunkiriroj, Commander of Metropolitan Police Division 4, Police Major General Kiatkul Sonthien, Commander of Metropolitan Police Division 2, along with police officers' families and officers from the Metropolitan Police Bureau's operations unit, visited to inspect the officers responsible for assisting residents affected by flooding at Khlong Chan Flats, Khlong Chan subdistrict, Bang Kapi district, Bangkok.
Police Lieutenant General Siam attended a meeting with relevant officials at the joint command center at NIDA to receive updates on the flood situation and instructed authorities to prepare tow trucks to remove damaged vehicles from main roads after the water recedes to reopen traffic.
Additionally, Police Lieutenant General Siam brought consumer goods, food, drinking water, and essential items by boat to aid residents at Khlong Chan Flats, who have been severely affected by the flooding, with water levels in some areas reaching chest height.
Later, in the evening of 29 Sep 2023, Police Colonel Thanaphan Phadungkarn, Superintendent of Lat Phrao Police Station, along with related agencies, conducted a motorboat survey to monitor flooding and ensure safety around Khlong Chan Housing Flats, Soi Seri Thai 5, Khlong Chan subdistrict, Bang Kapi district, Bangkok.
They found water levels still exceeding 1 meter, about adult chest height. Some local residents and shopkeepers waded into the water to check and retrieve their stored belongings that had not yet been moved to safer places.
