Passing the baton of frontline duty, "Big Poo" handed over his responsibilities and the unit flag to "Teacher Nopphasin," or Pol. Lt. Gen. Nopphasin Poolsawat, with a heartfelt message, "Please take care of the unit," before retiring.
On 30 September 2026, at the Police Personnel Development and Welfare Training Center building in Muang Thong Thani, the Immigration Bureau held a ceremony for the handover of command, as Pol. Lt. Gen. Phanumart Boonylak, Commander of the Immigration Bureau, was to retire on that date.
Pol. Lt. Gen. Phanumart and Pol. Lt. Gen. Nopphasin Poolsawat, Commander attached to the Royal Thai Police Headquarters, paid respects to "Phra Buddha Metta Mahanakornaphirak," known as "Luang Pho Khao Muang," the sacred symbol of the Immigration Bureau, as well as paying homage to Luang Pho To and the guardian spirit shrine. Afterwards, Pol. Lt. Gen. Phanumart signed the official handover in the transfer logbook.
Following that, Pol. Lt. Gen. Phanumart took the platform to receive honors, inspected the honor guard, and performed the formal ceremony of handing over the Immigration Bureau unit flag to Pol. Lt. Gen. Nopphasin. The atmosphere was warm and filled with respect, as police officers lined up to present roses in tribute. Pol. Lt. Gen. Phanumart praised all personnel for their dedication and teamwork, then congratulated and entrusted the unit to Pol. Lt. Gen. Nopphasin before departing, saying, "Please take care of the unit," closing his career with honor.
