Bangkok Latest Update: Main Road Flooding on Chalong Krung Road with Water Levels Still 15–25 cm High

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration latest update on 5 Oct 2026 reports flooding on main roads: areas where water has receded or dried permit vehicle passage; small vehicles are advised to avoid Chalong Krung Road near KMUTT where water remains 15–25 cm high.

On 5 October 2026, the Facebook page "Bangkok Metropolitan Administration" posted an update on flooding on main roads in Bangkok as of 5 October 2026 at 06:30.

Roads dry and passable as usual

  • Saimai Road is dry along its length except for slight waterlogging near Soi 27.
  • Suwinthawong Road is dry throughout except for 5–10 cm of water at Hathairat Intersection.
  • Sihaburanukit Road is dry except for a water puddle in the left lane near Soi 10.
  • Parts of Luang Phaeng Road between Wat Phlomani Intersection and Khlong Phraya Phet.

Slight flooding of 5–10 cm, vehicles can pass.

  • Krungthep Kreetha Road near Soi 13–15 has water puddles at roadworks, and near Soi 45–55 flooding of 5–10 cm.
  • On Nut Road from Soi 57–59 has flooding of 5–10 cm.
  • Lat Krabang Road between Khlong Tapuk and King Kaew Intersection flooded 5–10 cm.
  • Chaokhunthahan Road inbound fully flooded 5–15 cm, outbound 5–10 cm.

Moderate flooding of 10–20 cm, vehicles can pass but should exercise caution.

  • Phahonyothin Road at Bangkok border from Thupatemi Stadium to Phahonyothin Soi 64/1 has water 15–20 cm high.
  • Chalong Krung Road from Khlong Lam Makham to Khlong Lam Ko Phai flooded 10–15 cm; from Khlong Lam Ko Phai to Chaokhunthahan Intersection 5–10 cm; and from Chaokhunthahan Intersection to the Motorway 10–15 cm.
  • Luang Phaeng Road between Lat Krabang Intersection and Wat Phlomani Intersection and from Khlong Phraya Phet to the city boundary has water 15–20 cm deep.
  • Lat Krabang Road between King Kaew Intersection and Airport Intersection to Luang Phaeng Road has water 15–20 cm deep.

Severe flooding of 20–30 cm; small vehicles are advised to avoid and some areas are impassable.

  • Chalong Krung Road near King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) has water approximately 15–25 cm deep.

People are urged to plan travel ahead, especially on routes with moderate to severe flooding; motorcycle and small vehicle users should avoid these areas.
