The Metropolitan Police Bureau announced the closure of four traffic points around Government House this evening to manage a protest and urged the public to avoid these routes to ease congestion.
On 8 Nov 2026 GMT+7, the Metropolitan Police Bureau (MPB) reported that the following traffic routes will be closed:
1. Closure of Chamai Bridge to Suan Miskawan Intersection.
2. Closure of Nakhon Pathom Road in front of Wat Benchamabophit School.
3. Closure of Likhit Alley.
4. Closure of Rama V Road from in front of the Court of Prince of Chumphon to Saphan Orathai Intersection.
This is due to the People's Revolutionary Front to Protect the Land (PRF), led by Mano Khrueakaew, also known as Kamnan Mano, and allied groups, who are organizing a car mob protest moving into Government House, traveling via Borommaratchachonnani Road and crossing the Phra Pinklao Bridge into Bangkok.
Initially, the MPB has prepared parking areas on Phitsanulok and Rama V roads, with plans to extend parking to Rama VI Road if vehicle numbers increase. Since Ratchadamnoen Road is a critical route, authorities ask for public cooperation to avoid these areas and to plan travel routes in advance.
