"Cheer and Win Euro Championship" A middle-aged man from Samut Prakan won the 2nd prize of gold worth 620,000 baht, while a pharmacy professional from Nakhon Pathom also got lucky, winning the 3rd prize of gold valued at 310,000 baht in the Euro 2024 football championship contest organized by "Thairath Group-Thai Post." This was from the activity supporting the Euro 2024 football championship.
On 22 Aug 2024 GMT+7, reporters reported that "Thairath Group" teamed up with "Thai Post" (PTT) to hold a lucky draw campaign titled "Cheer for Football, Celebrate and Win Anytime, Anywhere" during the Euro 2024 football event. One of the lucky winners of the 2nd prize, gold bars worth 620,000 baht, was Mr. Jirayu Jamnongnusorn, 41, from Bang Phli District, Samut Prakan Province. Due to being occupied in another province, he could not come to receive the prize.
Reporters called Mr. Jirayu, the lucky winner, who said he felt very happy to hear that he had won the 2nd prize gold bars worth 620,000 baht by sending postcards to predict the football champion. He has supported the Spanish national team from the start, watching since the first match. He bought a total of 800 postcards, writing predictions for Spain on 600 and England on 200, secretly hoping to win because he wanted to join the fun. He followed the program all along but this was his first time joining a contest by Thairath, which he regularly watches. He said he will keep the prize as education funds for his children, home improvements, and share some with his father.
In Nakhon Pathom Province, there was also a lucky winner who took the 3rd prize gold bars worth 310,000 baht. She is Ms. Supaporn Kanoknirun, 36, head of the pharmacy department at Thepagorn Hospital. Ms. Supaporn said she was very happy to receive the Euro football prediction prize. She sent 50 postcards to join the lucky draw each time Thairath held such contests, never expecting to win but just to participate for fun. The post office is conveniently located opposite the hospital, making it easy to buy postcards. Upon learning she won, she felt very joyful. She is currently pregnant with her first child and believes the baby brought her luck. She said she would keep the prize as a gift for her baby due next month.
"Every time Thairath has a good activity, I join. But this time I was lucky to win a big prize. During the last World Cup round, a junior pharmacist I know also won a prize from Thairath—a cash prize of 100,000 baht. Anyway, I would like to thank Thairath for giving me this luck, which is a wonderful gift close to my delivery date," said Ms. Supaporn.
