A large dome roof structure collapsed in Samut Prakan, injuring four people. The Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA) explained that they have cordoned off the area and deployed expert teams to urgently investigate the cause.
On 9 Feb 2026, reporters reported that a dome building within the Metropolitan Electricity Authority's training and skills testing center (Bang Phli), located in Soi National Housing Bang Phli, Bang Sao Thong Subdistrict, Bang Sao Thong District, Samut Prakan Province, collapsed, causing injuries.
Later, MEA explained that after the incident, MEA and relevant agencies promptly inspected the collapsed roof structure at the Bang Phli training center construction project in Bang Phli District, Samut Prakan Province, following reports of the collapse earlier that morning.
MEA urgently dispatched staff to assess the situation, prioritizing assistance to those affected. They coordinated to transport four injured individuals, who were contractor workers with minor injuries, to the hospital successfully.
Regarding safety measures, MEA cleared and inspected the area for orderliness, cordoned off the site to prevent unauthorized access for safety reasons, and allowed expert teams to conduct a thorough investigation into the cause of the collapse.
