Bird Wanwangwang Meets Police with Teary Eyes, Apologizes for Damaging Phra Pradaengs Image

At Phra Pradaeng Police Station, "Bird Wanwangwang" met with police officers in tears, saying he only wanted to create playful content with friends. He raised his hands in apology for damaging the image of Phra Pradaeng residents and confirmed it was "powder." The ambiguity is around "แป้ง" which is interpreted here as powder, as he insists it was not grout powder.

On 2 May 2026 GMT+7, reporters reported that at Phra Pradaeng Police Station, "Bird Wanwangwang," an influencer involved in a controversy for filming a clip using grout powder during Phra Pradaeng Songkran, came to report to the police. He also spoke with the victims and said he is prepared to undergo the legal process if it becomes a criminal case.

Bird Wanwangwang raised his hands in apology to the people of Phra Pradaeng and Samut Prakan (teary-eyed) and explained that his intention was simply to film playful content with friends, without intending to smear others with powder. He insisted it was powder, not grout powder, only a bag of grout powder was present. If grout powder is found, it would be a matter for the legal process.

On that day, he had asked a junior colleague to purchase the item to film playful content to support himself, but did not expect this content to harm the image of the Phra Pradaeng community. He apologized (with a wai gesture). This was his first time playing at Phra Pradaeng, where most people play kindly. At the time, he did not think it through and now feels remorse.

When asked if he had previously promised not to create "trash content," Bird Wanwangwang admitted he did, but said he did not expect this incident to affect the victims or society. Had he known, he would not have done it. He feared wrongdoing but perhaps underestimated the consequences. After the content went viral with negative public reaction, he feels guilty. Today, he apologized to the victims for any offense and hopes for their forgiveness.

A victim said personally they hold no grudge and have forgiven since their eye is improving but requested that such content not be made again. This was their first Phra Pradaeng Songkran, and encountering this was unpleasant. On the day of the incident, the victim felt like their head was covered with glue or something similar. They woke at 3 a.m. with glue-like residue on their shoulder but did not know what it was. They believe it was not ordinary powder or chalk. After the incident, a doctor diagnosed severe conjunctivitis, with ongoing treatment to dilate the pupil, though no corneal perforation was found.

The victim also said they were previously criticized as not being present at the incident site and accused of demanding compensation, leading to family criticism. However, after receiving an apology, they no longer hold a grudge and want to urge others not to repeat this behavior.

Regarding the case, the Phra Pradaeng Police Chief said Bird's previous case is likely awaiting sentencing. This case requires medical certificates and concerns injuries not severe enough for serious charges, possibly assault. It depends on the prosecutor whether to increase charges. Police are awaiting medical results to file charges. Another victim has undergone medical examination, with reports pending.

Initially, investigators mediated between parties. Bird Wanwangwang compensated a victim with 2,000 baht and no charges were pressed. Police warned Bird and other online content creators to prioritize safety and consider the impact on others to prevent similar future incidents.
