Suspension Ordered for Kamnan Jiew Pending Disciplinary Investigation Over Shooting of Pork Factory Owner

The Director-General of the Department of Provincial Administration has ordered the district chief of Mueang Nakhon Pathom to suspend “Kamnan Jiew” pending investigation after he fired a gun killing a pork factory owner inside a luxury car. He has been charged with intentional homicide and is allowed to appeal within 5 days.

On 13 May 2026, it was reported that Mr. Komsak, also known as “Kamnan Jiew,” the headman of Don Yai Hom subdistrict in Mueang Nakhon Pathom district, shot Mr. Udompong, 54, the owner of a pork factory in the same district. Mr. Udompong was severely wounded and later died. The incident occurred around 02:00 on 12 May 2026 and is believed to have stemmed from jealousy.

The reporter said the Director-General of the Department of Provincial Administration assigned Mr. Chotipong Plengwitaya, district chief of Mueang Nakhon Pathom, to issue order No. 465/2569, dated 12 May 2026, suspending the headman and the village chief of Village No. 8, Don Yai Hom subdistrict.

The details state that Nakhon Pathom province issued Order No. 1395/2569 on 12 May 2026, appointing a committee for a serious disciplinary investigation. A report from Mueang Nakhon Pathom Police Station on the same day states that at about 02:10 on 12 May 2026, Mr. Komsak Kaewsang, or Kamnan Jiew, holding the positions of headman of Don Yai Hom subdistrict and village chief of Village No. 8, was accused of serious disciplinary offenses and a committee was set up to investigate.

The case involves his arrest on criminal charges of intentional homicide, carrying a firearm into a town, village, or public place without permission and not under urgent circumstances justified by the situation, and discharging an explosive firearm in a town, village, or community without cause.

The Mueang Nakhon Pathom district considered that allowing Mr. Komsak Kaewsang to remain in his position could cause serious damage to the government. Moreover, the case is a shocking violent crime that has attracted public and societal attention.

Therefore, under Section 61 bis of the Local Administration Act of 1914 and the Civil Service Code of 2008, an order has been issued to suspend Mr. Komsak Kaewsang from his duties as headman of Don Yai Hom subdistrict and village chief of Village No. 8, Mueang Nakhon Pathom district, to await the outcome of the disciplinary investigation.

If Mr. Komsak Kaewsang wishes to appeal or contest this suspension order, he must submit a written appeal stating his objections, facts, or legal grounds to the district chief of Mueang Nakhon Pathom within 5 days from the date he received the order, according to the Local Administration Act of 1914 and the Administrative Procedure Act of 1996.
