A summons has been issued for the Director of the NACC Investigation Bureau to provide a statement after he could not be contacted. His wife reported that he was at the office. Meanwhile, police have collected additional evidence at the scene and are awaiting to press charges. Eyewitnesses confirm the perpetrator was driving alone without any companions.
At approximately 23:00 on 27 May 2026, Bang Srimuang Police Station officers received a report that a motorcycle was hit by a pickup truck, resulting in one fatality. The incident occurred near the Bang Rak Noi overpass on outbound Ratchaphruek Road toward Highway 345, Bang Rak Noi Subdistrict, Mueang Nonthaburi District, Nonthaburi Province. The victim was later identified as Mr. Sornnarinn Nakongsee, 43, a delivery rider. His left arm was severed. About 300 meters away, the damaged electric motorcycle was found parked.
The other party involved is Mr. Jarong, Director of the Investigation and Special Affairs Bureau. His blood alcohol level was found to exceed the legal limit. Subsequently, the NACC issued a statement clarifying that the perpetrator does not hold the position of NACC Deputy Spokesperson, contrary to previous reports.
Latest updates at 13:30, Pol. Col. Chokchai Khana Charoen, Deputy Commander of Nonthaburi Provincial Police, forensic officers, and Bang Srimuang police officers inspected the crash site. They examined four points: on the overpass where the left arm was found; mid-bridge where the motorcycle was located; mid-bridge where the body was found; and the foot of the bridge where the pickup truck was parked. Additional evidence will be gathered. The victim’s motorcycle and the pickup truck involved, currently at Bang Srimuang Police Station, will be examined along with the pickup’s dashcam footage to collect evidence and prepare charges.
Helmet camera footage from a rider witness recorded at approximately 22:29 shows the perpetrator walking near the pickup truck, talking continuously on the phone. Afterwards, he returned to the pickup truck alone; no man wearing black, who was claimed to be with him, was seen. The rider has provided this evidence to reporters seeking justice for the deceased and will cooperate further as requested by investigators.
Pol. Col. Phumisith Tangwitdecha, Chief of Bang Srimuang Police Station, instructed investigators to call Mr. Jarong Kraomao, Director of the Investigation and Special Affairs Bureau and driver of the pickup truck involved in the collision. Unable to reach him by phone, officers delivered a summons to his home in Pathum Thani Province but found only his wife. She said Mr. Jarong had gone to work at the NACC. Arrangements are being made for him to meet investigators at Bang Srimuang Police Station in Nonthaburi for questioning and to be formally charged.
