Mittraphap Road Opens 24-Hour Service to Aid Dairy Farmers and Reduce Community Accidents

Mittraphap Subdistrict Administrative Organization (SAO) partnered with the Dairy Farming Promotion Organization of Thailand (DPO) to launch "Mittraphap Road (24 hrs): Connecting Community Power, Continuing Royal-Initiated Careers," providing traffic convenience, reducing accident problems, and transforming the community toward sustainability.

On 29 May 2026, at Khao Ta Paen, Village No. 1, Mittraphap Subdistrict, Muak Lek District, Saraburi Province, Mr. Prayoon Insakul, former Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, presided over the opening ceremony of the "Mittraphap Road (24 hrs): Connecting Community Power, Continuing Royal-Initiated Careers," a 4-kilometer route project. The initiative was a joint effort between Mittraphap SAO and DPO to provide safe travel for about 5,000 households, totaling 10,000 residents, allowing them to commute without crossing the main Mittraphap Road. Mr. Polkrit Punyamornsri, Chief Executive of Mittraphap SAO, and Ms. Watcharee Wannsri, Director of DPO, along with government officials, staff, and locals, warmly welcomed the event.

Mr. Polkrit Punyamornsri stated that Mittraphap SAO constructed an asphalt concrete road and installed solar streetlight poles from Gate 3 entrance to the wastewater treatment pond intersection at Gate 1. The project was funded by Mittraphap SAO with permission from the Dairy Farming Promotion Organization of Thailand (DPO) to benefit residents, tourists, and nearby villagers, enabling convenient and safe travel without needing to make U-turns on the main Mittraphap Road. Over the past 50 years, local residents faced dangers from making U-turns on Mittraphap Road, resulting in fatalities and injuries.

Therefore, under the leadership of Mr. Polkrit Punyamornsri, Mittraphap SAO coordinated with the Dairy Farming Promotion Organization of Thailand (DPO) to construct a U-turn road to facilitate travel for residents, the general public, tourists, as well as emergency rescue teams, enabling quicker response times and effectively reducing accident problems.

Ms. Watcharee Wannsri, Director of the Dairy Farming Promotion Organization of Thailand (DPO), said that DPO’s mission extends beyond supporting dairy farmers to promoting sustainable growth alongside surrounding communities. The joint improvement of transportation routes with Mittraphap SAO is a true integration that benefits all. It helps dairy farmers transport raw milk efficiently in the royal-initiated occupation while maintaining international milk standards, and it also improves safe travel for nearby and distant residents, protecting lives and property.
