
Kulwalee Nopamornbodi, Ratchaburi MP and Chair of the Land, Natural Resources and Environment Committee, received a petition from a married couple seeking justice to expedite follow-up on an unresolved land encroachment case in Ban Sing Subdistrict, Photharam District, Ratchaburi Province.
The case involves Woraphan, 60, and Urai Intharawong, 57, a married couple who own 1 rai 3 ngan 6.6 square wah of land in Village 4, Ban Sing Subdistrict, Photharam District, Ratchaburi. They installed a large vinyl sign in front of their land to demand justice from government agencies because their land was overlapped by a highway and an irrigation canal. They submitted a letter to the Land Commission Chair seeking action against officials and urging prompt payment of compensation for the land, as previously reported.
At 3:30 p.m. on 12 June 2026, Woraphan and Urai Intharawong met with Kulwalee Nopamornbodi, Ratchaburi MP for District 1 and Chair of the Land, Natural Resources and Environment Committee, at the Tha Rab Subdistrict office in Mueang District, Ratchaburi. They requested assistance to follow up with the Royal Irrigation Department to expedite payment of land expropriation compensation for title deed number 3885 in Photharam District. They asked the department to confirm their entitlement to compensation, specify a clear timeline for the process, and if eligible, to pay fairly including interest and costs incurred from pursuing this right.
Kulwalee Nopamornbodi, Ratchaburi MP, stated that after receiving the complaint, the committee will issue letters inviting the Royal Irrigation Department, the Department of Highways, and related parties to explain the reasons for delayed compensation payments or any obstacles encountered. She emphasized that the agencies must provide clear answers to the residents.
