The Education Service Area Office has ordered the suspension of the school director accused of molesting 11 female students to prevent involvement in the investigation process.
The Pavena Foundation for Children and Women accompanied 11 female students aged 10 to 15 from a school in Si Sawat District, along with their guardians, to file a complaint against the school director accused of luring female students and molesting their chests.
The victims revealed that the school director had been molesting female students for many years, but no one dared to report or inform their parents due to threats of expulsion and scholarship withdrawal. Eventually, one guardian of a victim learned of the incidents, gathered information about similarly affected students, and filed a complaint with the Pavena Foundation, leading to the legal action.
On 13 July 2026, Dr. Songsak Kwanprachaa, Director of the Kanchanaburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 1, assigned Ms. Piyaporn Sukapunpun, Deputy Director of the same office and the school director’s supervisory authority, to provide an update on the disciplinary investigation. Initially, the director has visited the area to collect information from the students and guardians. The school director was ordered to assist with official duties at the Education Service Area Office.
Subsequently, a recent order was issued to immediately suspend the school director to prevent interference with the investigation. Additionally, transportation was arranged to facilitate guardians and victims traveling to the police station.
For the 11 student victims, the Education Service Area Office coordinated with Kanchanaburi Kindergarten to assign teachers to support their learning during the period they are absent from their original school, to prevent falling behind or missing lessons.
A disciplinary investigation committee has been established to comprehensively gather facts, with a maximum duration of 180 days to conclude the findings. If the director is found guilty, the offense will be considered serious misconduct, punishable by suspension or dismissal depending on the committee’s decision. The Kanchanaburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 affirmed its commitment to a thorough and fair investigation for both parties.
Regarding legal proceedings, police officers, together with multidisciplinary professionals, have begun interviewing the 11 student victims today to complete the process as swiftly as possible.
