
A fire occurred at a major motorcycle starter factory in Ban Pong District, Ratchaburi Province. Authorities have now brought the fire under control.
At 05:00 on 10 August 2026, a fire was reported at a factory in Tha Pha Subdistrict, Ban Pong District, Ratchaburi Province. The fire spread from the warehouse at the rear of the factory, rapidly expanding throughout the entire factory area before reaching the front building facing Saeng Chuto Road. The flames grew high, accompanied by periodic explosions, with bright light and thick smoke rising above. It took over an hour for two fire trucks to arrive. Meanwhile, the fire intensified, spreading to an adjacent factory, forcing the factory owner to quickly move parked vehicles out of the premises.
The factory in question is a steel plant producing various sizes of starters. It employs several hundred workers but was not in operation at the time, with only security personnel present.
The security guard reported hearing an explosion before the fire started in the innermost part of the factory, after which the flames rapidly spread.
By approximately 08:00, the fire was brought under control, though smoke still lingered. Further updates will be provided as they become available.
