Searched for many days, finally found. "Jaolek". A 100-kilogram wild boar escaped and wandered causing disturbance on the Santisuk intersection overpass heading toward Rangsit. The owner spent over an hour coaxing it to return.
At 07:30 on 24 Aug 2026, Police Sergeant Major Petchpracha Wansuep, traffic squad leader of Mueang Pathum Thani Police Station, received a report from the public of a wild boar walking on the Santisuk intersection overpass toward Rangsit. He coordinated with Poh Teck Tung Foundation volunteers and the Pathum Thani Municipality disaster prevention and mitigation team to inspect and assist.
At the scene, a male wild boar about 2½ years old weighing over 100 kilograms was seen wandering on the overpass amid heavy traffic. Poh Teck Tung volunteers tried to catch it to bring it down, but due to the busy traffic, the frightened boar resisted and ran on the road.
Later, Mr. Supachai Tangworrasuk, 64, from Mueang Pathum Thani district and the owner, arrived and called "Jaolek." Hearing his owner’s voice, the boar gradually stopped. Mr. Supachai spent over an hour persuading Jaolek to follow him down from the overpass and safely walk home, over a distance of more than 2 kilometers.
Mr. Supachai said that on 20 Aug 2026, he released Jaolek from its cage for normal exercise, but when it was time to return, Jaolek was missing. He searched every day, following leads from people reporting sightings at various places but kept missing each time.
Today, a good Samaritan called to report seeing traffic police and rescue volunteers surrounding a wild boar on the Santisuk overpass. He rushed to the scene and confirmed it was Jaolek, his missing wild boar.
