A car accident in Prachuap Khiri Khan involved a young man driving with friends who lost control and crashed into a tree, wrecking the entire vehicle. Two died instantly and two were seriously injured. Authorities are urgently investigating the exact cause.
At 04:00 on 24 Sep 2026, Police Lieutenant Colonel Sarawut Nuchrang, investigation officer at Bang Saphan Noi Police Station, Prachuap Khiri Khan, received a report of a car crash into a tree on Bang Saphan–Nong Had Tai road near the Nong Had intersection, Village No. 3, Sai Thong subdistrict, Bang Saphan Noi district. Several people were injured and killed. Rescue units from Bang Saphan Noi Hospital and Bang Saphan Noi Kusol Songkroh rescue team were dispatched to the scene.
The accident site was a curve where a white Nissan Almera with Chumphon license plates was found completely wrecked. About 5 meters from the wreckage stood a large Siamese cassia tree with damage at its base consistent with collision. Inside the car, two deceased were found: Ms. Phattharaphon, 22, and Mr. Thanathip Meejit, 21.
Additionally, two others were seriously injured: Mr. Yutthaphon, 26, and Mr. Kritsada, 19. Both were rushed by authorities to Bang Saphan Noi Hospital.
Preliminary information indicates Mr. Kritsada was driving the car with three friends as passengers. They were returning home to Sai Thong subdistrict, Bang Saphan Noi district, and Pak Khlong subdistrict, Pathio district, Chumphon province, after visiting a nightclub in Kamnoet Nopphakhun subdistrict, Bang Saphan district. Upon reaching the accident site, the vehicle lost control and crashed into a roadside tree, causing fatalities and injuries. Police will continue investigating the accident's cause.
