In Prachinburi, continuous overnight rain caused flash floods in Wang Tha Chang subdistrict, flooding agricultural lands and washing away a 64-year-old man's house. He swam with his wife to safety on shore.
On 25 Sep 2026 GMT+7, reporters reported that after heavy rain throughout the night in Prachinburi Province, flash floods swept into sugarcane farms covering thousands of rai in Wang Tha Chang subdistrict, Kabin Buri district. The floodwaters overflowed Provincial Road 2006 by over one meter, causing houses along the road to be damaged by the rushing water.
Mr. Prinya Saeng-em, 64, the homeowner, said he has lived in the house with his 41-year-old wife, Mrs. Lamyai Namwong, for over 20 years. During the flood, water surged across Provincial Road 2006 over three meters high, washing away his house while he and his wife were asleep inside. Upon waking, he quickly tied their motorcycle to a large tree with a rope before swimming with his wife to the road safely.
Additionally, in Village No. 6, Wang Tha Chang subdistrict, flash floods inundated agricultural areas and eroded the road surface, causing damage. Local residents could not use this route and had to wait until the floodwaters receded toward Ban Wang Magut and Ban Wang Kwang before flowing into the Wang Tha Chang canal.
The flood situation report for Prachinburi Province as of 10:30 a.m. today stated that 601 households in 11 subdistricts, 31 villages, and 7 communities across 2 districts have been affected. Flash floods in Ban Khlong Sib Song, Village No. 6, and Ban Khao Tham, Village No. 10, Wang Tha Chang subdistrict, Kabin Buri district, have caused damage and are under assessment. The Kabin Buri municipality area is also affected.
Floodwaters overflowed riverbanks in residential areas affecting 2 subdistricts, 7 communities, and 142 households, including one school (Municipal School 2) and one temple (Wat Mai Tha Panich) in Kabin Buri municipality with 5 communities totaling 138 households.
In Mueang Kao municipality, 2 communities with 4 households were affected. In Sri Maha Phot district, 7 subdistricts, 28 villages, and 459 households experienced flood impacts.
