Flooding in Prachinburi has led Kabinburi Hospital to establish a field hospital to care for patients after severe flooding on Route 304. Red-code cases will be referred to Sa Kaeo Hospital.
On 29 Sep 2026 GMT+7, reports indicate that flooding in Prachinburi province remains severe, affecting residents, patients, and multiple hospitals.
Dr. Siwaboon Chaisongkram, director of Kabinburi Hospital, has set up a field hospital at Marie Wittaya School at Sam Thahan Intersection to care for patients unable to reach Kabinburi Hospital due to high flooding on Route 304 at Nang Leng Bridge, Muang Kao Subdistrict, which has severed the hospital's service area.
The hospital itself remains flood-free as it is on higher ground. However, patients on the other side, unable to access services, are cared for by the field hospital at Marie Wittaya School. Red-code patients in the Sam Thahan area are referred to Sa Kaeo Hospital. Patient transport is assisted by boats from the monk volunteer team from Ubon Ratchathani and JMC vehicles. Medical equipment and supplies are delivered by drones.
On behalf of the monk volunteer team from Ubon Ratchathani, they responded to a request from the director of Kabinburi Hospital to deliver medical personnel and equipment to the field hospital in Muang Kao, which is cut off from the main hospital. Since patients and supplies cannot reach this side, the team was asked to transport equipment and personnel to establish the field hospital there.
Currently, there are many patients due to prolonged exposure to floodwater and possibly stress. The team expects to assist here for about 2-3 days. The flood level has dropped about 10 cm since yesterday. A kitchen has been set up to prepare 2,000 meals daily to distribute to staff and victims.
